    Carryout only location. Would consider this an above average spot for westernized chinese food, somewhere you would go if you were craving general tso's chicken and egg drop soup, which was what I got. General tso's had a hint of heat which was nice, more flavorful than I expected. Price was very reasonable given their large portions. Very prompt service.

    This tiny little place seems like a relic of an age before Bethesda had skyscrapers, and has been there in its current form for as long as I can remember (close to three decades) and who knows how much longer. It is strictly a takeout place. When I ordered online from their website, I did not get a confirmation email, which worried me a bit, but they had my food hot and ready to go when I arrived (and the email showed up afterwards for some reason).

    They have an ample vegetarian menu, and those dishes come by default with brown rice for some reason, which is fine by me. The curry tofu that I asked for spicy was a nice portion; I'm glad I didn't get any more sides because it was plenty for lunch. And it had an occasional burn, was tasty, and had just enough vegetables. Nothing fancy, but I have no complaints.

    It is one of the closest places to NIH and the military medical center, and I assume it's been here forever because they are capable of reliably producing decent, cheap, quick food for anyone in need of a takeout lunch.

    This place has great cooks. The portion is generous and the food is best in the area. We order general chicken. Very flavorful and not too sweet like some other places. The beef broccoli. The beef is tender and a lot of beef. Generous again. The crab rangoon and fried wonton is not overdone. Which is great. Most places burn these things. The food is not oily which is great. The lo mein is full of oil at other spots and they serve food fresh and fast. Organize kitchen and great food. Friendly service, fresh and best in the area. Absolutely delicious.

    I am out of town from Western New York and finding this place next to the hotel was awesome. I haven't had such good Chinese food in years. The chicken is most definitely white meat, not over fried and crunchy, not too chewy. The wonton soup and crab rangoons are delicious too. Wish I could transport it with me.

    We have ordered from Golden House for years.  Tonight, the rice had a large, dead ant in it.  Golden House did not refund the order.  Really gross.  Had to throw all the food away.
